James Melling taught for more than twenty years in Birmingham
schools and the past ten years has been divided between
providing private tuition for underachieving children and the
conservation of fine art.
A thirty year passion for architectural history and in particular,
buildings of the medieval period, has involved him in lecturing
and consultation work.
His enthusiasm for historic buildings in his local area has recently
spawned a group of publications - 'The Kings Norton Collection'
and a fully illustrated children's history of a Tudor family caught
up in the turmoil of the Reformation.
